BIB 5030 Fundamentals of Jewish Bible Interpretation

This course addresses the Jewish perspective on the Bible and its role in Judaism. Topics will include how Jews have understood the Tanakh in comparison to the Christian reception of the Hebrew Bible; the relationship between the Bible and post-biblical Jewish literature; and the development of Jewish Bible commentary.
