ENG 1090 Digital Storytelling: Narrative in the New Media Age

Students explore storytelling across audio, video, and online platforms while developing literary and journalistic techniques as well as research, interviewing, and production skills. In partnership with the Gottesman Library-s Digital Media Studio, students compose fiction, creative nonfiction, and narrative journalism, and conduct long-form interviews, transforming these into compelling multimodal works. Students also examine ethics, distribution strategies, medium-specific choices, and contemporary approaches to narrative. The course culminates in a showcase of student projects shared with the university community. Prerequisite(s): BUS 1010 or FYWR 1020.
