FIN 6520 Topics in Finance: STEM

This class is designed to allow for the exploration of a advanced topic in Finance (always to be determined) that is not covered by the standard curriculum but is of interest to faculty and students in a particular semester. The course is STEM designated. Since these topics are advanced, they assume demonstrated academic achievement at the degree granting level by all students in their prior work in the program. As such, these courses may only be taken in the final semester of the MSF program. A list of 10 sample topics is provided below, but there may be other topics that emerge based on scientific inquiry of professors, developments in the economy, and responses to new technological advancements. The format is seminar style with papers and computational assignments, culminating in a final project for the students at the Master of Science in Finance level.
