HAL 2272 Jewish Lifecycles I: Laws of Marriage, Milah, & Pidyon HaBen

Life has ups and downs. Students will walk out of Yeshiva with familiarity with the contours of Jewish life after taking this course. Life is unpredictable, and yeshiva students are often called upon to act as a quasi-family rabbi figure. Learning the laws of each lifecycle event prepares students to navigate everything from birth to burial with confidence and ease. First semester topics include: child birth, Brit Milah, Pidyon HaBen, Bar Mitzvah, weddings, Sheva Berachot, and family purity.
