IDS 1540 Introduction to Data Science

This course introduces basic concepts and applications of analytics. Topics include an overview of the analytical process and the role of the analyst, applied descriptive statistics, exploratory data analysis, data visualization, reporting, and data driven storytelling. Students will apply these analytic tools to social and organizational issues, for creating insights and solving problems. Prerequisite(s): IDS 1131, IDS 1020, ECO 1031.
