INDS 1250 College Seminar

This course is designed to promote academic self-efficacy among first-year college students. Through research and reflection, students will assess their physical and social context, their individual strengths and motivations, as well as challenges that may prevent them from realizing academic and other aspirations. They will practice study skills, goal setting, research techniques, interviewing strategies, information literacy, writing, and presentation skills. They will develop their academic identities, learn to navigate college structures and campus resources, and engage with the wider New York City environment.
