Introduction to the functional role of the health services manager in various organizational settings, utilizing contemporary case studies. An overview of health care delivery systems in the United States, hospital administration on both the inpatient and outpatient sides, physician practice management, long-term and home health care, fundamentals of health care reimbursement, the impact of managed-care organizations, and strategic planning and marketing. Prerequisite(s): MAN 1020.
