Emphasis is placed on the principles of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacogenetics in the treatment of selected illnesses including therapeutic and toxic effects, dosage calculations, and challenges related to drug therapy. The focus is on safe administration and monitoring the effects of pharmacotherapeutic agents.
