Advanced Biblical and Talmudic Interpretation Certificate

Overview

The Advanced Biblical and Talmudic Interpretation Certificate at Yeshiva University is a prestigious certificate program in which students engage in advanced textual analysis, guided by expert faculty, and are encouraged to contribute to the broader Jewish community through teaching, leadership, and scholarship. The program not only enhances their mastery of classical Jewish texts but also prepares them to serve as role models and educators in synagogues, schools, and communal institutions. With its blend of academic excellence and religious devotion, the certificate empowers women to take their place as influential voices in the world of Torah learning and Jewish thought.

There are two tracks offered: The Pre-MA Certificate and the Post-MA Certificate. The pre-master’s program is intended for women who have not yet completed the Graduate Program in Advanced Talmudic and Tanach Studies (GPATS), but have already demonstrated significant dedication and effort in their Torah studies. The post-masters program is designed for women who have already completed their MA in Advanced Biblical and Talmudic Interpretation. This certificate offers a unique opportunity for third-year students to continue their rigorous study of Talmud and Tanach, deepening their scholarship and refining their interpretive skills.
