Yeshiva University's Study in Israel opportunities, anchored by the S. Daniel Abraham Israel Program, offer undergraduate students a transformative academic and spiritual experience. Each year, nearly 650 students begin their YU education with a year of Torah study at one of over 40 partner yeshivot and seminaries across Israel. Students remain fully enrolled at YU during their time abroad, maintaining access to financial aid and academic support. The program is based at YU’s Israel campus in Jerusalem, where students benefit from structured guidance, cultural programming, and personal counseling. Coursework focuses on Jewish subjects such as Talmud, Bible, Jewish law, philosophy, and Zionism, while also enhancing Hebrew language proficiency and deepening students’ connection to Israel’s land, people, and heritage.
Beyond academics, YU in Israel fosters a vibrant community through events, internships, and leadership development. Students participate in lectures, concerts, career fairs, and receive ongoing support from YU staff both in Israel and New York. The year is further enhanced by visits from esteemed YU Roshei Yeshiva, Deans, and administrators from the NY campuses. Through these immersive experiences, students strengthen their Jewish identity, build lifelong relationships, and prepare for future academic and professional success.
