Signal Processing and Electronics II
Signal processing topics covered include: Fourier, Laplace and z-transforms, analog and digital filters, time-domain modes, block diagrams and feedback. Electronics topics include biasing circuits and small-signal models, circuits with multiple transistors, and active filters. The course includes an introduction to scientific computing with Python. Students undertake design projects in which they develop simulation test benches for digital signal processing, and also build analog electronic circuits in an engineering laboratory, including use of circuit simulation tools.
