MAT 2461 Probability Theory

This is an introductory course to the mathematical theory of randomness. Topics to be discussed include combinatorics, Discrete and continuous sample spaces; density and distribution functions of random variables; expectation and variance; independence and conditional probability; law of large numbers; central limit theorem; generating functions; random walk and ruin problems (See STA 2461.) This course is semi-online. Prerequisite(s): MAT 1413.
