PHY 5830 Advanced Experimental Physics

This course offers the broadest range of experimental measurement techniques available for mechanical, electrical, and general engineering applications. Covers general behavior of different measurement techniques: pressure, flow, and temperature, the course emphasizes the use of uncertainty analysis and statistical data analysis in estimating the accuracy of measurements. Emphasizes experimental uncertainties as essential elements in experiment design, execution, and instrument selection. Prerequisite(s): Must have successfully completed Physics IV.
