Understand the history of cancer research and the underlying mechanisms that contribute to the development and the progression of cancer as well as the ways in which we use these mechanisms to treat cancer. May count toward the cell and molecular track. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 1012; and BIOL 3207 may be taken as a prerequisite or corequisite.
