MAN 5485 Leadership and Human Intelligence

This course explores leadership as a timeless human endeavor and a critical contemporary business skill. It traces the evolution of leadership thinking from ancient narrative, beginning with the Epic of Gilgamesh, through historical views on leadership and into modern organizational life. By placing trust at the center of the analysis, students gain insight into how leadership ideals have evolved and how they continue to shape our understanding of authority, responsibility, and influence. Through case studies and reflective exercises, students will grapple with real-world dilemmas, examining how leaders navigate ambiguity, uphold integrity, and lead with purpose.
