SWK 8670 Creative Arts in Social Work

This survey course explores the current uses of the creative arts in social work practice, including music, drama, art and dance. This course will utilize both lecture and experiential exercises to explore the therapeutic value of creative approaches. Students will also be encouraged to express their own creativity and apply these approaches to practice. Doctoral students will be encouraged to connect course content to their dissertation topic.
