DENT 6120 Removable Prosthodontics - RPD Sim Lab

This simulation-based course provides hands-on training in removable partial denture (RPD) prosthodontics with an emphasis on digital workflows. Students will learn intraoral scanning of partially edentulous arches, digital surveying, CAD framework design, and CAM fabrication using 3D printing and milling. Analog techniques including hand surveying, wax-ups, and casting are included for foundational comparison. The course emphasizes esthetics, biomechanics, occlusion, accuracy of design, and effective laboratory communication in a digital-first clinical environment.
