DENT 6148 Clinical Pharmacology

This course explores the principles of pharmacology with direct clinical application to dentistry. Students will study pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, drug interactions, and therapeutic uses of medications most relevant to dental practice. Emphasis is placed on pain management, antibiotics, local anesthesia, sedatives, anticoagulants, and management of medically complex patients. Students integrate biomedical knowledge with clinical decision-making to prescribe safely and manage drug-related complications.
