SWK 6033 Advanced Community Practice I

This course is designed to educate students for social work practice with competence in macro and community practice. It builds upon the knowledge and skills acquired in foundation courses. Students will learn to integrate social justice and other core social work values into their practice via macro methods such as voter engagement, policy advocacy, community organizing, and the planning and implementation of community interventions. Prerequisite(s): SWK 6004, SWK 6100, SWK 6135, SWK 6201, SWK 6402 and SWK 6532; and SWK 6132 may be taken as prerequisite or corequisite or SWK 6133; or ACC (advanced standing). Corequisite(s): SWK 6535.
