SWK 6689 Spirituality in Social Work Practice

This course expands upon the holistic relationship between the biopsychosocial and the spiritual dimensions. Humans derive meaning from various sources, and this course explores how spirituality and religion may shape moral development and enhance resilience and purpose throughout the lifespan. Course content acknowledges the potential for circumstances where religion may negatively impact the individual. Students are encouraged to explore their own relationship with spirituality and religion in consideration of the client/worker relationship.
