In order to earn a Yeshiva University Bachelor’s degree, students must achieve:
An average of 2.000 or better in all studies
An average of 2.000 or better in the major
A grade of C- or better is required in all courses counted toward a major (and, if applicable, a minor)
A grade of C- or better is required in pre-requisite courses in order to advance to subsequent courses requiring the pre-requisite.
Additionally, students in Sy Syms must additionally achieve:
A grade of C- or better in all business courses required as part of the business core
A grade of C- of better in the required quantitative and economics courses
It is students’ responsibility to consult with an academic advisor to be sure that all their graduation requirements have been met. This “senior check” should be completed before registration for the final semester of coursework.
Note: Degrees are conferred ONLY when the Office of the Registrar officially confirms that all requirements toward the degree(s) for which a student has applied are complete. No degree will be conferred with any in-progress or incomplete courses. All requirements must be completed by the Conferral Date for the degree to be awarded.
Conferral information
Yeshiva University has three conferral dates for its undergraduate students: September, January and June. Students who are nearing their program’s completion must complete a Graduation Application and submit it to the Office of the Registrar.
The deadlines for filing for graduation are as follows:
January degree–November 1
June degree–February 15;
September Degree–July 1 (if planning to attend Commencement–the preceding March 1)

Please note: A required fee of $150 is payable online by credit card or electronic check by logging into your student account payment portal at https://insidetrack.yu.edu.
Diplomas Diplomas will reflect the name indicated on the graduation application. (Last name must be the same as the name on the student record.) Diplomas are mailed out around 8 weeks after the conferral period, if there are no holds on the student’s account. It is important that students clear all of their financial obligations and holds as soon as possible. Students who maintain obligations to the University will be unable to receive diplomas.
Commencement ceremonies: Every candidate is invited to participate in the Yeshiva University Commencement Ceremony in May, as long as their conferral takes place in the same calendar year as the ceremony.
